A motorist got the fright of his life this afternoon. His car suddenly started to burn at the traffic lights in front of the Wilhelmina Hospital in Assen.
The driver was able to get out of the car in time and call 911. A bystander tried to put out the fire, but flames quickly spread around him. In the end, firefighters extinguished the fire and no one was injured. It is unknown how the fire started.
