A car ended up on the side at the end of the morning along the Zuidlaarderweg (N962) between the quarry and Kiel-Windeweer. The occupant was helped from his plight by the fire brigade.
It is not known how the car could end up on the roadside. The victim was helped on the spot by ambulance personnel and then taken to the hospital.
The N962 was closed for some time due to the accident.
