In an accident at the intersection of Broekhovenseweg and Groenstraat in Tilburg, a car ended up on a café terrace on Wednesday evening. The damage was extensive, but miraculously no one was injured.
The accident happened around a quarter to eight. After the collision between the two vehicles, one of the two cars slid onto the empty terrace of Café and Party Center Bet Kolen. The vehicle crashed into the facade of the catering business.
Because it was an electric car and there was a possible fire risk, the Tilburg fire brigade took action. But more than clearing rubble was not necessary. Both the car and the terrace were severely damaged.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. A recovery company towed and removed both vehicles.
