Captain Mainka extends his contract with newly promoted Heidenheim: “The next logical step”

1. FC Heidenheim has extended the expiring contract with captain Patrick Mainka until June 30, 2027. The promoted team announced this before their last competitive game this year against SC Freiburg on Wednesday.

“In Heidenheim I not only became a professional and later received the trust as captain, but was also able to fulfill my dream of playing in the Bundesliga,” said the defender, who moved from Borussia Dortmund’s second team to Ostalb in 2018 was changed.
