Canada Goose presents collaboration with young talents

Canada Goose has released a capsule that showcases hood trims.

The Canadian clothing retailer has brought three young designers on board for this project, who reinterpreted designs from existing jackets and added hood trims, Canada Goose announced on Wednesday.

The designer collective relies on multicultural approaches. London-based Lebanese Mira Mikati redesigned one of the brand’s bomber jackets, available in bright yellow and blue. The designer’s typical colorful trimmings in sun and rainbow designs are combined.

The New York-based fashion label Collina Strada by designer Hillary Taymour was dedicated to the ‘Shelburn’ parka. The floral print, available in two versions, is intended to be a reminder of the US brand’s sustainable vision.

South African designer Thebe Magugu breathes new life into the ‘Mystique’ parka with a print inspired by the Basotho blanket from Lesotho, Africa, and merino wool trim.

“We are always looking for ways to ensure customers can express themselves through their individual style – and the hood trim collection from our collective of designers perfectly achieves our mission,” said Niamh McManus, Senior Design Director at Canada Goose. “’Hood Trims’ expands product versatility without requiring wearers to sacrifice the thermal properties and performance that Canada Goose is known for.”

The limited collection is available in selected stores and in the brand’s online shop. The trimmings are priced between 225 and 425 euros, the newly interpreted jackets between 1,695 and 1,995 euros.
