The last day of the year starts gray in many places, with the exception of the High Fens where there are already broad clear skies. In the Ardennes there is also some freezing drizzle, especially in the southeast of the country. During the day the cloud cover can break here and there and the sun sometimes appears, but it is often cloudy. The maximum temperatures do not climb higher than -2 or -1 degrees in the Ardennes, 4 or 5 degrees in the center of the country and 8 degrees at the sea. The wind is moderate and quite strong at sea with gusts of up to 50 or 55 kilometers per hour.
