Can rising Jukurit withstand Luko’s revenge rage?

Jukurit will try to extend their winning streak on Saturday at the expense of Luko.

The most interesting game of the day

Jukurit, who is on a winning streak of three regular-time wins, is currently the hottest team in the league, together with HIFK and KalPa. Especially at home, the people of Mikkeli have found confidence in their actions. TPS fell before the national match break with a crushing score of 6–2 and Kärpät after a really cool performance 2–0. Jukurie’s dominance was illustrated by the fact that it won the shots in those matches by a total of 98-81 and the expected goals by 6.4-3.8.

The department that clearly exceeded the most expectations of the team can be found in the goal area. Goalkeeper duo Markus RuusuRasmus Korhonen was suspected before the season to be Mikkeli’s Achilles’ heel, but Korhonen in particular has taken a huge step towards the league’s top scorer this season.

Korhonen’s save percentage from ten matches is 92.45% (the third best in the league) and the average number of goals conceded is 1.60 (also the third best in the league). Against the lock, Jukurei can now count Plussa on goalkeepers Korhonen and by Daniel Lebedeff (82.76% / 3.50) being opposite. So far, Jukurei’s playing in special situations has also been slightly better than Luko’s.

Lukko has been unconvincing about the strings lately. Of its ten previous matches, it has won only two in regular time, and there have been losses in six of the previous ten.

Of course, the fact that Jukurit went to the first mutual meeting of the season a month ago and humiliated Lukko Rauma by no less than 1-6 (expected 1.6-2.3) brings its own piquant flavor to the game. Here, there is a clear flavor of a rematch for Luko. In practice, however, the layout does not affect the power ratio estimates at all.

Neither team has any major deficiencies or surprises in their lineups. In terms of betting, my taste is on the side of the Jukurs in this match. The best bet is the 1.88 multiplier offered for the actual game time win.

Jukurit–Lukko starts at 17:00.

The best betting tip of the day

The other tastiest bet ideas of the day can now be found in Liiga. Few goals can be used as clues in both KalPa–Kärpät and KooKoo–Pelicans matches. KalPa still traditionally has difficulties from time to time to convert goal chances into goals themselves.

Kärpät is an interesting case, because from the beginning of the season, the team tried to change its way of playing to be more active and therefore also to score more goals. To some extent that has come true, but mainly only in home matches. In away games, the goal average of Kärppi’s five previous matches is only 3.6 goals per game and the expected average is only 4.0 goals per match.

Yesterday’s meeting between KalPa and Kärppie ended 5–2, but even in that match only four goals were created. Quite often, the latter of the matches of the same teams on consecutive days is of a lesser nature. I now consider the 1.75 multiplier offered for less than 5.0 goals to be a borderline case.

In the KooKoo–Pelicans pair, there has recently been a strong trend towards fewer goals in the playing of both teams. Here, too, the 1.91 odds of under 5.0 goals is at least an offer worth considering.

KalPa–Kärpät starts at 17:00 and KooKoo–Pelicans at 19:00.
