I can use there menstrual cup even if I have never given birth?
Of course yes. The cup is by no means reserved for women who have already given birth: it is an extremely versatile device, designed to adapt to the different phases of women’s lives. Many very young girls use it without difficulty, as do women who have never had pregnancies. What really matters is choosing the right size, there are various ones, designed specifically for different anatomical conformations, and take some time to familiarize yourself with the insertion.
All it takes is a little practice
It’s true, the first attempts may seem a little complicated: the feeling is that of “not knowing how to do it”, and this is absolutely normal. But as happens with many things related to one’s body, a few days of practice is enough for the gesture to become natural and almost automatic.
An unexpected comfort
And, not surprisingly, many women say that, once the initial phase is over, they discover unexpected comfort: no odors, no irritation from rubbing, no sensation of humidity, and above all a freedom of movement in the gym, in the swimming pool, when traveling that traditional sanitary pads hardly guarantee.
The environment thanks you
Without forgetting the ecological aspect: a well-kept cup can last for years, with almost zero environmental impact. However, if you feel pain during insertion, or you have the sensation that the cup “does not create a vacuum” and therefore leaks, or it bothers you even when it is positioned correctly, then it is possible that your pelvic floor is particularly toned or that your anatomy requires a cup of a different shape or size.
It takes a few tries
Every vagina has its own way of “responding”, and there is nothing strange in having to make a couple of attempts before finding the perfect model. In these cases, a simple gynecological visit can immediately clarify the situation and avoid frustrating attempts: very little is needed to understand how to orient yourself and which option can work best for you. The cup is a modern, practical, sustainable and surprisingly comfortable choice. You don’t need to have given birth to benefit from it: you just need to know a little about your body, have the patience to learn and, above all, listen to yourself. Once they find the right one, many women never go back.
