Cabinet holds hand on budget for North. For the time being, no money for rail Meppel and Lower Saxony line

The coalition parties VVD, CDA, D66 and ChristenUnie, but also most opposition parties, clashed on Monday in a committee meeting with Minister Mark Harbers of Infrastructure and State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen. Later this week, the factions will try to get money for the two million investments on the table in budget discussions. State Secretary Heijnen is positive about the plans. A large majority of the House demands real butter with the fish in motions. But how hard the coalition parties will play it remains to be seen.
