A truck burned out on Tuesday evening on the A17 near Klundert. The driver was able to put the truck next to the road just after the BP filling station.
The fire brigade quickly had the fire under control, but the cabin went up in flames. The trailer was empty and was picked up from the company by another driver.
Damage to the road surface
A recovery company has salvaged the truck. The damage that the road surface suffered in the fire will be restored for the next 24 hours. The contamination of the roadside is then also tackled.
Nobody was injured in the fire. How the fire could break out is being investigated.
