By the end of 2027 at the latest, banks will be required to implement a four-hour pause when people increase their banking limits. This should give victims of phishing more opportunities to retain their money. Banks will also be required to notify them if that limit is increased. Minister of Consumer Protection Rob Beenders (Vooruit) asks the banks to do this more quickly.
