BVB wins first test after Terzic’s return

Edin Terzic celebrated a successful start to his second term at BVB.

In the first friendly, directed by Marco Rose’s successor, the runners-up won 3-1 (1-0) at neighboring Westphalian league club Lüner SV.

Prince Aning (45+1) as well as Bradley Fink (55) and Göktan Gürpüz (63) scored for the Black and Yellows, who were still missing the newly signed stars Niklas Süle, Nils Schlotterbeck, Karim Adeyemi and Salih Özcan.

Terzic doesn’t expect most of BVB’s national players until Friday (8 July) for the first training session after the summer break. A day later Dortmund denies its second test match at second division relegated Dynamo Dresden.

On July 14, Terzic’s team at SC Verl will once again meet a third division team before the Westphalians travel to the training camp in Bad Ragaz 24 hours later.

In Switzerland, further preparatory games against the Spanish first division teams FC Valencia and FC Villarreal are on the agenda. Dortmund will play their first competitive game on July 29 in the first round of the DFB Cup at third division club 1860 Munich.
