Borussia Dortmund uses the World Cup break to travel to Southeast Asia. As the Bundesliga soccer club announced, the remaining professionals will each play one game from November 21 to December 1 in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.
BVB intends to announce details of opponents and dates shortly.
“The unique break in the season in November and December means an unusual challenge for all clubs. It was important to us to organize these weeks in the best possible way for the players who are not taking part in the World Cup,” said Sebastian Kehl.
In addition, the sports director sees BVB as having a duty to “represent our club and the entire Bundesliga internationally”.
