BVB targets Real Madrid star

With Ian Maatsen, who is on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund has temporarily closed the gap in the left-back position. BVB is apparently already looking for alternatives for the summer.

As the portal “todofichajes.com” reports, BVB has its eye on Fran García from Real Madrid. Accordingly, the 24-year-old Spaniard is the preferred candidate for the Revierklub.

The Royals are ready to let García go after the season – even though his contract runs until 2027.

The two-time national player rarely gets a chance at Real Madrid. In the current LaLiga season he played in 18 games, only eleven of which he was allowed to start. Ferland Mendy usually goes first.

With Davies transfer with no prospect of playing time?

The planned transfer of Alphonso Davies from FC Bayern could further increase competition.

García had already been linked to Borussia Dortmund in the winter. According to the “Denfensa Central” portal, those responsible for the Black and Yellows have asked the Whites about the defender’s availability.

But instead of García, BVB signed Ian Maatsen. The Dutchman came from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season. If Dortmund want to keep the left-footed player beyond that, it will probably be expensive. According to Sky, the exit clause is around 35 million euros. BVB is also said to have “no right of first refusal” for the youngster.

It is not known how much Real Madrid would ask for García.

With Ramy Bensebaini and Julian Ryerson, BVB actually has two left-backs. However, the Norwegian is also needed on the right.

The “Ruhr Nachrichten” recently reported that Maatsen is only a temporary solution and that Bensebaini and Ryerson are being planned for the coming season. In addition, loan player Tom Rothe from Holstein Kiel is coming back.
