BVB share: Adeyemi is moving to Dortmund – signature is still pending

Sport1, “Bild” and the pay TV channel Sky had previously reported on Friday that both clubs had agreed on a transfer of the 20-year-old. Adeyemi has a five-year contract, only the signature of the courted offensive player is still missing. Execution should take place promptly.

After Munich’s Niklas Sle (26) and Freiburg’s Nico Schlotterbeck (22), Adeymi is the third German international to switch to Borussia Dortmund.

There are various statements about the amount of the transfer fee, from 30 to 38 million euros according to media reports. In addition, bonus payments could add another six million euros in the coming years, as reported by Sky.

Adeyemi’s contract in Salzburg runs until June 30, 2024. There has been speculation for months about a change after this season. Salzburg’s coach Matthias Jaissle also said before the Champions League exit at FC Bayern Munich that he expected a corresponding step. Likewise, Borussia Dortmund has long been the favorite to sign the fast striker. Adeyemi made his debut in the German national team in September 2021 and has played three international matches so far.
