BVB reserves climb to fourth place

Borussia Dortmund II gave the right answer to the recent derby defeat against Rot-Weiss Essen and celebrated their fifth win of the season in the 3rd football league.

At Waldhof Mannheim, BVB won 3:1 (2:1) and moved up to fourth place in the table. Mannheim is in 16th place after the sixth defeat in the twelfth game.

After just 42 seconds, Julian Hettwer gave the guests the lead, and a little later Falko Michel (14th) increased the lead with a dream goal from distance. After Malte Karbstein’s goal (27th), Ole Pohlmann (69th) scored Dortmund’s third goal. Shortly before the end, BVB offensive player Rodney Elongo-Yombo (84th) was sent off with a yellow-red card.
