The successful qualification for the Champions League has opened many doors to the transfer market for Borussia Dortmund. The latest candidate at BVB is apparently a young playmaker from Belgium.

As the transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri reports, there is currently a very concrete interest from Borussia Dortmund to Ardon Jashari from FC Bruges. The 22-year-old Swiss is the absolute wish player of coach Niko Kovac.

The BVB has already exchanged intensively with the player side. The next step is now the negotiations with the Belgian runner -up.

It is currently still unclear how high a possible transfer fee for the defensive midfielder could be. However, the Jashari market value is estimated at over 20 million euros.

His contract in Bruges runs until 2029, so sales pressure is not in Belgium. In addition to the Borussia, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City should also have an eye on the playful six.

New player for the big role at BVB?

In Bruges, Jashari mostly acted in the 4-2-3-1 system on the double six this season. His greatest strength is the creative game. With vertical passes, the two -time national player provides outstanding numbers. He also has skills as a ball tractor.

Jashari’s profile in the current BVB team is definitely reminiscent of Pascal. However, the transfer flirt is eleven years younger and significantly physical in his style of play.

In the past season, Jashari was not only a game designer at Bruges, but also a permanent favorite. Under coach Nicky Hayen, he was on the lawn across competitions in 52 games. He scored four goals and six templates.

As early as the summer of 2023, the midfielder almost ended up with the Bundesliga. At that time he was still in the service of FC Lucerne when Werder Bremen, Gladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart were on him.

But two years ago there was no change. It was only last summer that Jashari finally moved to Bruges for six million euros.
