BVB: Fears about loan – Manchester United don’t want to sell Jadon Sancho away

Jadon Sancho’s return to Borussia Dortmund has been looming for days. But the completion of the loan deal between BVB and Manchester United has so far been a long time coming.

Final details still need to be clarified, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, it seems certain that the Black and Yellows will ultimately have no option to buy the English winger.

According to Romano, United is not willing to sell off the former star acquisition. People in Manchester are aware that Sancho’s market value has fallen sharply in the last year. The Red Devils are apparently hoping that a fair price can hardly be achieved at the moment.

The 23-year-old’s situation will be re-evaluated next summer. Should Sancho get started at BVB, United could potentially increase their transfer fee significantly.

BVB is waiting for the “final breakthrough”

Another internal argument for the lack of a purchase option is said to be the current restructuring in the club. After the arrival of British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, the sporting leadership is being put to the test. It is quite conceivable that other decision-makers at the English record champions will be in power until Sancho returns.

Already on Saturday “Sky” said that BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl was waiting for the “final breakthrough” in the talks with Manchester United.

Although it is generally agreed that the loan has a total volume of around 3.5 million euros and does not include a purchase option, less tangible things are apparently proving to be a hurdle.

“There are a lot of things going on in the background that don’t necessarily revolve around hard facts and figures, but also about how to get out of this thing while saving face,” reported “Sky” reporter Patrick Berger.
