BVB coach looks after Ghana at the World Cup

Top talent coach Otto Addo from the Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund will also take care of the national team of Ghana at the World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18).

“Fortunately, we have now discussed it to the end. I have now received permission from Dortmund,” said the 46-year-old in the podcast “HSV – We have to talk” from the “Hamburger Abendblatt”.

Addo had led Ghana to the finals as interim coach in the playoff duels against Nigeria. There, the “Black Stars” meet Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.

“Sebastian (Editor’s note: Kehl) obviously doesn’t want to prevent me from doing that. Under certain conditions, it works out that I’m now doing the international matches in June and September and definitely also taking part in the World Cup as a coach for Ghana.” , said Addo, who himself had 15 caps for Ghana.
