Borussia Dortmund has returned to success in the Youth League. Three weeks after the clear 4-0 defeat against Athletic Bilbao, coach Felix Hirschnagl’s team won 2-0 (0-0) against FC Copenhagen. Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s youngsters also put in a good performance against Paris Saint-Germain and remain unbeaten after the 2-2 (1-0) draw.

Pharell Kegni gave BVB’s talents the lead after the break after a goalless first half (47′). The game remained open for a long time before Tom Faust closed the bag in the 95th minute. With six points from three games, Dortmund is temporarily in 13th place in the table.

The Werkself, who initially gave up a lead against the co-favorites from Paris, but then came back again, will be in second place until tomorrow evening. Rayan Abo El Nay (52′) and Mathis Jangéal (55′) with a penalty had put the French in front within four minutes after Burak Kir scored for Leverkusen in the first half (37′). However, Julien Kurowski equalized again in the 64th minute, which Bayer 04 then managed to extend.

“We played against a very, very good team today. I can only give our boys a big compliment for their discipline and structure for the entire 90 minutes, which was really great, especially against the ball,” said coach Kevin Brok after the game.
