The favorable weather forecast meant that it was exceptionally busy on the highways to the coast this morning. Tourists were stuck on the E40 for up to two hours. Yet, unlike before, there is no traffic chaos in Knokke-Heist. “We have learned lessons from last year’s situation. The police are trying to guide the flows so that there is no overwhelm,” says Bert De Brabandere, Alderman for Tourism in Knokke-Heist.
