“Busiest evening rush hour of the year” with traffic jams of up to 340 (!) kilometers on Flemish highways

The long weekend has started for many and this was also noticeable on the Flemish highways. At one point there was even a traffic jam of up to 340 kilometers. According to the Flemish Traffic Center, it was without a doubt “the busiest evening rush hour of the year”. In the late evening rush hour, an accident involving two trucks also occurred in the Kennedy tunnel, which again caused “major inconvenience”.
