Busenaz Sürmeneli reached the last 16 of the World Women’s Boxing Championship!



At the World Women’s Boxing Championship, Busenaz Sürmeneli made her mark in the Round of 16 after her Italian rival Angela Carini was injured in the first round.


Busenaz Sürmeneli advanced to the Round of 16 in the 66 kg category at the World Women’s Boxing Championship, hosted by Turkey by the International Boxing Association (IBA).


Busenaz Sürmeneli, who entered the ring at 66 kg in the championship held at Başakşehir Youth and Sports Facilities, faced off against Italian Angela Carini. After his opponent was injured in the first round, Busenaz Sürmeneli became the side that passed the round. The national boxer will fight Arika Melek Skoog from the USA on Sunday in the Round of 16.
