A burning truck has caused problems for hours on the A27 from Gorinchem to Breda. Due to this fire, the road between the Hooipolder and Oosterhout junction was closed until six o’clock on Thursday morning. Traffic in the direction of Breda and Antwerp was advised to drive via Roosendaal and to take the A59 and the A16.
The fire broke out just before 10 p.m. Wednesday evening. It soon became clear that the truck near Raamsdonksveer could no longer be saved. The fire brigade deployed five vehicles and an aerial platform to extinguish the fire. According to a 112 correspondent, expensive laptops were transported with the burning truck.

Initially, the A27 at Raamsdonksveer was closed in both directions due to the fire. After some time, the road from Breda to Gorinchem was reopened.
The driver of the truck was uninjured in the fire.
