Burglars hit Raheem Sterling’s home

Raheem Sterling was not involved in England’s quarter-final against Senegal. The national team said the reason was family reasons.

According to The Sun newspaper, Sterling traveled from Qatar to England on Sunday because burglars had attacked his Surrey home on Saturday evening.

Surrey is south of London. Sterling represents Chelsea, a big London club.

According to the Telegraph, Sterling’s children were at home at the time of the attack.

– Now the main thing is that he can be with his family, manager Gareth Southgate stated according to the Mirror.

– We support him and give him as much time as he needs. Sometimes football is not the most important thing.

England beat Senegal 3-0 on Sunday night and progressed to the top eight.

England will face France next. The match will be played on Saturday night.
