Three burglary suspects escaped in Oosterhesselen this evening, after villagers and police officers hunted for them together.
Earlier in the evening, a burglary took place in a home on Boerhoorn. According to bystanders, the residents had just arrived home at that moment and caught the burglars by surprise. They then ran off and had to leave their getaway car behind.
Local residents gave chase and the police launched a search with sniffer dogs. However, the suspects had fled and have not been traced. According to local residents, they took money and jewelry.
According to the police, there are three suspects who are all dressed in black and wearing a hoodie.
