The Bundesliga season is just over. But the clubs are already planning for the coming season. All important news in the transfer ticker.
This year’s transfer summer has it all. This is because the clubs are allowed to sign players for the first time in two different periods. Due to the club World Cup, the first transfer window for the participating clubs opens on June 1st and closes again on June 10th. The regular transfer window then extends from July 1st to September 1st.
After the burst transfer to Mainz 05, at least three other clubs from the Bundesliga want to hire the French striker Rayan Philippe von Eintracht Braunschweig. The “Bild” newspaper reports of a “three-way fight” between Hamburger SV, Werder Bremen and 1. FC Köln. “Sky” is also the 1. FC Heidenheim one of the interested parties on the 24 -year -old attacker.
In the past season, Philippe scored 13 Seisontore for Eintracht plus the decisive goal to 2-2 in the extension of the relegation secondary against 1. FC Saarbrücken. Due to the relegation in the 2nd Bundesliga, the contract of the former French U20 national player has automatically extended. According to media reports, the Braunschweig require a transfer fee between two and three million euros for him.
Pep Guardiola gets support from the camp of his long -time rival Jürgen Klopp after a title season. On Monday, the top English club Manchester City confirmed the commitment of two former coaches from the Liverpool FC, one of them, Pepijn Lijnders, was also available as an assistant.
Together with his German boss, the Dutch Liverpool left after the 2023/24 season and had switched to Red Bull Salzburg as head coach. The 42-year-old was released there last December. In addition to Lijnders, James French also joins the Standert team of the Spaniard Guardiola as a specialist for the standards. French had been employed in Liverpool for 13 years.
The SpVgg Greuther Fürth has signed the Luxembourg international Mathias Olesen for the coming season in the 2nd Bundesliga.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder comes from the Bundesliga promoter 1. FC Köln, for whom he played 18 games in the past season and in the three seasons before 23 mostly short missions in the Bundesliga.
Martín Zubimendi has apparently decided: According to a report by the transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Real Sociedad player moves to FC Arsenal. Accordingly, players and club have agreed on a long -term contract. The Londoners would pull the exit clause of 60 million euros.
Doubts had recently arisen on the transfer to England, because Real Madrid under new trainer Xabi Alonso reported that Zubimendi had also entered the poker. The “royal” planned with him as a kind of successor to Toni Kroos, i.e. a midfielder with a high pass frequency and quality. In addition, Real coach Alonso has the best connections to Zubimendi from his time as a coach of Real Sociedad’s B team. Nevertheless, the club is now going empty.
Bayer Leverkusen is probably making an absolute top transfer. According to English media reports, the German champion from 2024 is said to be interested in Jack Grialish from Manchester City. Geralish, who still has a contract in Manchester until 2027, switched from Aston Villa to the “Cityzens” in 2021 for the sum of 117.5 million euros.
