The new Bayern star Sadio Mané is in Munich for a medical check and to sign the contract. It takes a little longer until the first training session.

In the red Bayern shirt with the club crest, Sadio Mané wrote his first autographs in Munich. The soccer star from Senegal arrived in Munich on Tuesday morning and completed the obligatory medical check-up during the day.

The 30-year-old offensive player granted a few fans a great wish for an autograph after the first stop. With the signing of the negotiated three-year contract, the transfer from Liverpool FC to the German record champions should finally be completed after the green light from the doctors. Several media had reported on Mané’s arrival at Munich Airport in the morning. The TV channel Sky Sport News showed pictures of the private machine. Mané and his companions were picked up on the tarmac by a red limousine.

Base fee of 32 million euros

The change of attacker has been considered practically perfect since the end of last week. Both clubs had agreed on the financial terms. Mané’s contract at Liverpool would have expired in mid-2023. Bayern should pay a base fee of 32 million euros for the Africa Cup winner. According to reports, this can increase to up to 41 million through certain additional payments.

FC Bayern would like to present Mané as a newcomer on Wednesday if possible. After that, the offensive player can continue his vacation. Coach Julian Nagelsmann and his team will only start preparing for the season on July 8th.

Mané will then be the focus of attention for the first time during the record champions’ trip to the USA from July 18th to 24th. Among other things, Bayern play in Green Bay in a friendly against English champions Manchester City, who relegated Liverpool and Mané to second place in the past Premier League season.
