Mönchengladbach (dpa) – Borussia Mönchengladbach’s managing director Stephan Schippers is assuming a change at the football club after this Bundesliga season.

“After two years without major changes, we see the need to change one or the other in the squad. This means that we are more involved with young players again, but not only. Our goal for next season is consistency,” said he the “kicker”.

Schippers emphasized that despite the losses of around 30 million euros due to the corona pandemic, no player had to leave the club due to financial difficulties. “We don’t have to sell a player for economic reasons,” he said. “The fact that we will probably be given one or the other professional has to do with other reasons.” He mentioned the desired new structure, new stimuli and possibly the need of some professionals to leave Borussia for their own reasons.
