Thanks to triple scorer Alassane Pléa, Borussia Mönchengladbach is playing vigorously again in the race for the European Cup places. The French striker led the Gladbacher to a 4: 2 (2: 2) at Werder Bremen and thus the fourth away win in a row.
Four victories abroad in one season in one season the Borussia last won with Stefan Effenberg in the 1994/95 season. At that time, Gladbach qualified for international business and won the last title so far with the DFB Cup.
In front of 42,100 spectators in the sold -out Weser Stadium, Pléa put the guests in the lead early (7th minute, penalty/28th). After Romano Schmid (39.) and André Silva (45.+1, penalty) had compensated for Werder before the break, Pléa Gladbach brought back to the front (47th) right after the change of sides. National striker Tim Kleindienst then made everything clear to Borussia (81st) and flew off the square with yellow-red a short time later.
Joker Sané is not enough: Bavaria only 1-1 at Union
Bayern Munich leader gave the victory at Union Berlin shortly before the end and left points again. The team led by DFB returnee Leon Goretzka and leader Joshua Kimmich found hardly any solutions offensive and did not get past a 1: 1 (0: 0) with strong iron.
Before 22,012 spectators in the sold -out stadium on the old forester’s shop, Joker Leroy Sané provided the Munich lead (75th). But just a few minutes later, substitute Benedict Hollerbach also equalized after a mistake by Bayern keeper Jonas Urbig (83.).
Last weekend, the Munich team surprisingly lost against relegation candidate Bochum. Defending champion Leverkusen could reduce Bayern’s lead to six points with a win in Stuttgart on Sunday.

FCA strikes Wolfsburg and moves closer to Europe Cup-Platz
FC Augsburg continues to approach the European Cup ranks. The team of coach Jess Thorup beat VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 (0-0) and thus equated on points with the Lower Saxony. At the same time, the FCA missed the Wolfsburgers a damper on their ambitions to a Champions League place.
In a large part of the event, Augsburg’s striker Phillip Tietz became a match winner when he scored the goal to 1-0 in the 53rd minute after a brilliant pass. In the classification, Wolfsburg and Augsburg now have 38 points in the account – and are in striking distance to the international ranks. Defense chief Jeffrey Gouweleeuw stood for the 250th time for the FCA in the Bundesliga on the lawn and is now a record of the League (for statistics).

Now gradually graduate!
