After being sent off: Bundesliga professional’s season ended early

After his hard entry, Jens Castrop sees the red card. This means that the 22-year-old will be out of Borussia Mönchengladbach for the remainder of the current season.
The sports court of the German Football Association has suspended Jens Castrop for three games. The 22-year-old midfielder from Borussia Mönchengladbach was shown a red card in the Bundesliga duel against VfL Wolfsburg (0-0) because of his “rough play” and will now be missing from the “Foals” in the final spurt of the season.
Castrop had badly fouled Wolfsburg’s Saël Kumbedi in the second minute of stoppage time, and referee Tobias Stieler sent him off.
Castrop can no longer intervene in the fight to stay in the league: Borussia, which has been in danger of relegation for much of the season, is currently six points ahead of the relegation place with three rounds to go before the end of the season.
