A little relaxation. After having conceded just one goal in five championship days, Bayern Munich have conceded 5 in the last 3, also always going behind. The Bavarians still managed to win, in full injury time, 3-1 against St. Pauli (first Hountondji scored, then Guerreiro and then Diaz in the 93rd minute and Jackson in the 97th minute), however proving to be a little more superficial in their approach compared to the beginning of the season. And so St. Pauli, after 8 defeats in a row, managed to take the lead already in the 6th minute: Laimer and Kimmich were superficial in possession, allowing their opponents to start on the counterattack. Hountondji is thrown deep, the Frenchman physically imposes himself on Kim and electrocutes Neuer. Bayern’s reaction is there, but Kompany’s team struggles to find space centrally. The high notes of Karl and Bischof, who hit a post each, were extemporaneous, but due to territorial dominance, Guerreiro’s equalizer (very well served by Diaz) was more than deserved. In the second half the plot does not change, with Bayern taking control of the game and St. Pauli trying to strike on the counterattack. The best opportunities, however, only came in full injury time: first it was Oppie who came close to making the sensational 1-2, but then came Bayern’s goal: Diaz, with his head, took advantage of a cross from Kimmich, then even Jackson’s hat trick arrived at the last second. Bayern thus finds themselves +8 on the second. But compared to the beginning of the year he seems less hungry.
