Four armed men broke into Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Florida home over the weekend of November 16 and held his mother against her will.

Perpetrator not yet caught
As “Hot New Hip Hop” reported, according to authorities, the burglars demanded cash and car keys before fleeing before the police arrived. The police brought sniffer dogs to search the property, but without results. The investigation and the search for the perpetrators are ongoing.
6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was not at home at the time of the incident but was on a livestream with Jack Doherty.
Sentencing for violating probation
These are busy times for the 29-year-old from New York. The rapper has to appear in court on November 20th because he violated the terms of his suspended sentence in August. He faces between three and nine months in prison, as “Hot New Hip Hop” reported.
The public prosecutor is demanding a prison sentence and probation
The public prosecutor’s office confirmed that it would demand a prison sentence for the rapper. “While the government may not be comfortable seeking a prison sentence for a former cooperator, the court must make it clear to Hernandez and other government cooperators — or those considering cooperating with the government — that their status as cooperators does not place them above the law,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Rebold wrote in a Nov. 12 sentencing recommendation obtained by Billboard. In addition, the public prosecutor’s office is hoping for another two-year suspended sentence.
6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, believes a prison sentence would be unfair given his client’s past cooperation with authorities. “Due to Mr. Hernandez’s classification, he will always serve his sentence separately and in complete isolation from other inmates,” Lazzaro wrote in a court letter. “As a result, Mr. Hernandez has extremely limited social contact with other inmates and very little time outside for fresh air and exercise.”

The probation violation stemmed from an August altercation with a man who insulted him at a Florida mall. “Hernandez is now six years removed from his criminal conviction, yet he still appears unable to control his temper when insulted by a random stranger,” prosecutors argue. “Hernandez needs to learn to turn the other cheek and remove himself from situations like this in the future.”
6ix9ine has been arrested and convicted numerous times in his career, often in connection with gang violence. Among other things, he was charged in 2018 with conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery.
