Bruges promises and Beveren divide the points after an exciting game

Blauw-Zwart wanted to do something about its disappointing position in the standings against Beveren. Arne Engels reinforced that aspiration early in the race. He gave the home team the lead with a great rocket shot from afar. Not much later, defender Owen Otasowie overturned his teammate’s goal with a clumsy own goal.

Daniel Maderner, last season’s top scorer, gave Beveren the lead after the break. The promises from Bruges did not give up and straightened their backs via a goal from Chemsdine Talbi. In the end, blue-black came close to scoring the winning goal, but the goal wood prevented a second Bruges victory of the season. Club NXT increases its point total to six. That leaves the ninth in the standings. Beveren is five places higher, with nine points.
