Brother of murdered Marie-Anne (56) testifies: “He did nothing at home and that led to tensions”

Her decision was made: Marie-Anne Brackx (56) would leave her husband Jan B. (61) after thirty years of marriage. The suitcases were ready in the hallway of the house in Roeselare. The people from the home care service would come on Thursday afternoon to help move. But they stood in front of a closed door and notified the police. They found Marie-Anne’s body in the house. “They had been arguing for months. But that he would do something like that? No, no one saw that coming,” says the victim’s brother. The brother of perpetrator Jan B. casts a different picture on the case. “It was just him who was tired of her.”
