Bronze for Dick Jaspers at World Cup three cushion for national teams

The Dutch three-cushion players Dick Jaspers and Jean Paul de Bruijn finished third at the three-cushion World Cup for national teams. For Jaspers from Sint Willebrord, the bronze is a modest prize, compared to the countless titles he already has to his name.

The Dutch duo lost in Viersen, Germany, in the semifinals to Semih Sayginer and Tayfun Tasdemir. The Turks were also too strong for Sweden’s Torbjörn Blomdahl and Michael Nilsson in the final later in the day.

The bronze was for the two losers of the semi-finals, the Netherlands and Spain.

Jaspers has been a world champion in three cushion for many years. He became world champion five times and European champion five times. The billiard player also won the Dutch title in three cushion no fewer than twenty-one times.
