The owner of Hotel Moji 2 in the Sieversstrasse in the Cologne suburb of Kalk raised the alarm with the police at around 10 am on Saturday morning. Shortly before, two seriously injured men had been found in one of the hotel rooms, completely covered in blood. A third man, a 28-year-old Belgian, was also present in the room, but he was unharmed.

The two victims were rushed to a hospital. According to German media, they had been attacked with a knife and had serious cuts. They both underwent surgery. One of them is still in mortal danger. It is not yet clear whether the victims are also Belgians. The identities of the victims are not yet known.
