TVThe end had been in sight for some time, but now it is also official. The very last episode of ‘Neighbours’ will be broadcast on television on Friday 29 July. The British Channel 5 itself announced this on Friday.
On Friday 29th July, UK fans can watch the ‘Neighbours’ grand finale at 9pm (local time). It will be a double episode in which we will see a lot of old faces. In addition, it promises to be a gripping and emotional finale. British Channel 5 also said that they will be releasing further details about the end of the iconic soap in the coming weeks.
Farewell tour
Meanwhile, there are already several rumors circulating. For example, some actors from the series would go on a kind of farewell tour through the United Kingdom after the last episode. Presumably some key figures from ‘Neighbours’ will visit no fewer than eight different cities, including London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. According to ‘Digital Spy’ the tour will officially start in March 2023.
In addition, Jason Herbison, a producer of the series, dropped that the share of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan in the final could be bigger than expected. In an interview with “The Herald Sun,” Herbison said a recently leaked storyline misrepresented how the two characters’ return would go. “What I’ve read is not what’s going to happen. But it’s great that it’s not yet known.”
