Brighton & Hove Albion extend Danny Welbeck’s contract

At the club since 2020

Brighton & Hove Albion have extended Danny Welbeck’s contract. The 31-year-old attacker signed a new working paper until June 30, 2024. The 42-time England international joined the “Seagulls” from Watford FC in October 2020 and has played 53 games for Brighton to date, in which he scored 19 goals was directly involved.

“Danny has thrived from the moment he came to us. He quickly integrated into the group and has become a real leader. He uses his experience to help the team and is a great role model for the younger players,” said coach Graham Potter. “He’s really important to us on the pitch, he brings so much to the team and I look forward to continuing to work with Danny in the coming seasons.”
