In Wapse, a fire broke out at the start of the night in a house on the Leemweg. It is a thatched home. Soon the flames hit the roof, little remained from the house.
Various fire brigades have been called up for the extinguishing work. Drenthe forces receive help from colleagues from Overijssel and Friesland.
The fire was discovered just before 1.30 am. As far as we know, nobody was injured. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
