“The investigation relates to possible irregularities when granting contracts to defense contractors for the purchase of military material for NATO such as ammunition and drones,” the federal public prosecutor reported Wednesday. For example, NATO Support & Procurement Agency (NSPA) employees in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg may have passed confidential information to those contractors. “There are indications that the money obtained from these illegal practices would have been laundered, partly due to the establishment of consultancy companies.”
