Hardly any goals, but a lot of excitement on Friday in the second division. It remains exciting in the fight for promotion to the Bundesliga.

In the second game on Friday evening, SSV Ulm celebrated an important 2-1 home win against Darmstadt 98. Ulm made a jump to Braunschweig in 16th place through the goals of Lucas Röser (51.) and Oliver Batista Meier (57th) and got some air in the relegation battle. Clemens Riedel (68th) had only been able to shorten for Darmstadt.

The Ulm won again for the first time since the end of January and, at least temporarily, climbed past the relegation relegation rank thanks to the clearly better goal difference past Eintracht Braunschweig. For the Darmstadt coach Florian Kohfeldt, the fifth defeat in series continued the away misery. The lead over Ulm decreased to eight points.
