One person was seriously injured in a stabbing in Oirschot on Saturday afternoon. The reason is probably an argument that arose after an attempt to steal a scooter.
The stabbing incident happened around half past four on Heersdijk. The victim was seriously injured, but managed to get away.
Hectic
The stabbing was only reported later, the police said. The victim is being treated in hospital. According to a police spokesperson, it concerns an ‘underage boy’. He is probably the owner of the scooter. “But because the report only came later, probably due to all the hectic activity, we are now trying to secure traces and find out what exactly happened.”
Camera images
Immediately after the report, the police started an investigation in the area and are expressly looking for camera images. In this way, the police hope to gain a clear description of the perpetrator(s), the direction of escape and the reason.
Possible witnesses and people in possession of camera images are asked to report to the police.
