The 12-year-old boy who was seriously injured last Tuesday in a collision on the Oirschotseweg in Moergestel has died. Baseball and softball club Roef!, of which the boy was a member, speaks of ‘an enormous and painful hole within the Roef family’.
The boy is said to have crossed the road on his bicycle last week when he was kicked by the driver of a van.
‘So unfair’
The victim was taken to a hospital by air ambulance, but succumbed to his injuries.
Baseball association and softball association Roef! in Moergestel says he is speechless. “He belongs on the fields of Roef!, but it shouldn’t be like that anymore. His base remains empty. So unfair that he should be missed at such a young age.”
