Usyk is the best and most famous boxer of the moment. Heavyweight World Champion at the Boxing Association WBC, WBA and WBO. Last year he beat the British Tank Tyson Fury twice. That earned him more than 100 million euros. And above all: his victories jacked up morally with the Ukrainian troops at the front.
‘The fight between Rico Verhoeven and Artem Vakhitov is becoming intriguing, I even think a bit filthy’
When the Russians invaded Ukraine, Usyk went to Kiev to fight with the army. Then he resumed his boxing career, but in between he went to the front several times to support his fighters.
Trump must keep promise
On July 19, USYK is going against the Brit Daniel Dubois for the crown of Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. From the international media attention in the run-up to that bright hyped camp, UsyK now uses to get a message to Trump.
The boxing champion believes that Trump should fulfill his campaign blax to terminate the war. He told that in an extensive interview with CNN. “Trump should be responsible for the words he spoke,” said Usyk. “He said he would put an end to this war within a month or a day. If he is not responsible for his words, why will he speak?”
Usyk invites Trump in Kiev
Usyk invited the American president to visit Kiev and offered to receive him from him at home. So that Trump can better understand what the average Ukrainian experiences day and night, with one after the other with drones and rockets. “I offer him my house. Let him come to Ukraine. I will give him my house and my guards. I will guarantee his complete safety. Let him live in my house for a week and see how rockets fly over it and how people live in Ukraine.”
“Let him come to live at my house for a week, not just one day. And in secret, so that no one knows he is there. Otherwise Moscow will stop the attacks. Or let him live in somewhere (the Kievse Wijken of) Obolon or Trojetsjina, where houses and residential buildings are bombed …. then he will understand what is happening.”
