According to the decision taken on the second day of the 144th IOC Meeting in the Costa Navarino region of Greece, the boxing branch was included in Los Angeles 2028.
Previously, in order to include Bolkun La28 in the sports program, IOC said that national federations should reach a compromise around an international federation other than the International Boxing Union (IBA). 88 national federations, including World Boxing Federation, became a member of the World Boxing Federation, which IOC temporarily recognized on February 26th.
Thus, at the IOC meeting, it was decided that the boxing branch would be in La28.
Boxing was first included in the modern Olympics in 1904. Since then, only the Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games, except for the Olympic boxing branch has been included.
