After a high defeat
“Refusal to work”: Matthäus Ruffelt Bundesliga club

Gladbach conceded a 4: 6 defeat in Frankfurt. The Bundesliga club is the bottom of the table – now Lothar Matthäus criticized the team sharply.
Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sporting crisis calls prominent voices. One of them: Lothar Matthäus. The record national player is alerted and is worried-and not only after the latest debacle against Frankfurt.
“I haven’t been doing it since the last matchday,” said Matthäus on the sidelines of the film’s Germany premiere “Rudi Völler-there is only one” in Frankfurt with a view of his former club. Even before the start of the season, he warned that Borussia had to “orientate itself down” rather than upwards. In his opinion, this assessment was not unfounded.
Gladbach is currently in the last place in the Bundesliga. Last weekend, the team conceded a 4: 6 at Eintracht Frankfurt – and was 0: 6 after just 47 minutes.
Matthew spoke of a performance that made him stunned: “But that it is as bad as the first 60 minutes. I hope that remains an exception.” Then he made it clear: “It was not ready for the Bundesliga, that wasn’t ready for a second division either. That was, I don’t say it badly, for me a refusal to work.”
The 64-year-old, who played for the eleven of the Lower Rhine between 1979 and 1984, spoke of the “worst 60 minutes in the club history of Borussia Mönchengladbach”. The association broke up after three match days in the Bundesliga of coach Gerardo Seoane. Interim coach Eugen Polanski is currently responsible.
For the ex-professional, the situation is a difficult mixture. What is certain is that the former Borussen player will also sit on the bench against SC Freiburg next Sunday. “Eugen deserves this fair chance,” said sports manager Roland Virkus. In the Sport1 “double pass” he indicated an early decision on the question.
