Goalkeeper Jan Olschowsky will remain with Alemannia Aachen in the coming season. The 23-year-old is again borrowed from Borussia Mönchengladbach to the third division clubs. Already in the past second half of the season he stood six times without a goal in the Aacheners between the posts and stayed six times in 18 games.
Olschowsky has been trained with the foals since 2009, from 2020 he belonged to the professional squad and in 2022 he made his debut in the Bundesliga. So far, there have been four games for the Gladbacher. “Jan is an absolute full professional who convinced us 100 percent in the past six months. For this reason, we also tried intensively to realize a renewed loan. With this decision, we have now also created clarity in the goalkeeper position. Personally, I am very happy that we can welcome Jan again with us, and would like to thank the Borussia responsible for the trusting and good cooperation,” said the technical director Erdal Celik.
Olschowsky put a record: “I’m happy to be back here and now in the training camp to the team. It is good to be there early in preparation. Alemannia tried very hard this summer, especially Erdal Celik, but also the new head coach and the goalkeeper coach can.”
Gladbach’s sports manager Roland Virkus was also satisfied: “Jan’s past loan to Alemannia Aachen fulfilled what we had hoped for: Jan collected a lot of game practice at a high level during this time and thereby develop in sports. The loan was therefore profitable for all sides.”
