Glasgow (dpa) – Even if top striker Erling Haaland leaves, Borussia Dortmund’s managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke is not worried.
“If he leaves, we’ll handle it the way we’ve always done it. We’ve already lost a few goalscorers here, Robert Lewandowski, Aubameyang. We’ll find someone new again,” said Watzke on RTL/n- tv before the Europa League game of the Bundesliga soccer club at Glasgow Rangers.
The Spanish radio station Cadena Ser recently reported that Haaland may decide as early as this week. The 21-year-old Norwegian will meet with his agent Mino Raiola on Friday. According to the broadcaster, Haaland has received offers from Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and allegedly also from Bayern Munich. There is no confirmation of this. Citing sources in Real Madrid, it was said that everything indicated that the striker would move to Manchester.
Watzke assumes that his goalscorer’s future will become clear “in the next few weeks”. “Maybe a month, maybe six weeks,” said Watzke.
