Setback after comeback
Borussia Dortmund and Giovanni Reyna are certain after the American has been substituted again due to injury: the 19-year-old attacking midfielder will no longer be on the pitch for BVB this season. With Mats Hummels and Donyell Malen, the Black and Yellows even have a trio of newly injured players, as the club announced.
According to BVB, Reyna suffered a muscle and tendon injury during the game in Stuttgart (2-0). The remainder of the season is out of the question now that the England-born US international has just returned from a long-term muscle injury.
Hummels was injured after the first half of the game against Stuttgart. As Dortmund announced on Sunday, the central defender will be out for several weeks due to a thigh muscle injury. Malen, who pulled a tendon during training, did not even travel to Stuttgart.
